This truly magnificent late 1950's green lambswool and cashmere mix cardigan, embellished with a design of flying cranes and trees,  is a rare piece to behold and never again find. 

The rounded neckline is framed by a green silk border trim, which edges either side of the front openings, the hemline and cuffs. The simple shoulder line, sets off the bracelet length sleeves, which are finished with green silk borders along each cuff. The timeless cut, is accented by the intricate embroidery features, which frame the green silk button and loop fastenings along the centre front of the cardigan. Finished with delicate side vents, which can be drawn in with concealed hook and eyes, and matching embroidery along the backline, this magnificent cardigan truly showcases the craftsmanship of the era.  This cardigan is lined in silk along the bodice.

Closures: This cardigan fastens down the centre front with 7 buttons and along each side vent with hook and eyes 

Condition: This cardigan is in near perfect vintage condition,  with a few very gentle and light age marks concealed within the embroidered cranes. This are only apparent under very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
